16 September 2024: Winners and Runners Up are announced here. The Top 40 entries in each category appear in the latest issue of Australian Photography (October-November 2024) magazine, which will be available in newsagents this week, and digitally on Zinio from Thursday 19 September.
A huge thank you to the incredibly talented photographers who entered this year. Your support has made The Mono Awards a truly special showcase of the best black and white photography, and a true celebration of the diversity of this wonderful genre. Thank you also to our sponsor Synology for their continued support of the art of black-and-white photography.
The Mono Awards will return in 2025, with entries set to open in late January.

Now in its sixth year The Mono Awards, presented by Synology, celebrate everything you love about black & white photography.

The Mono Awards are open to photographers from around the world and offer $18,000 (Australian dollars) in prize money. Deadline has been extended to 10 June 2024.
The Top 30 entries will be published in Australian Photography (Oct-Nov 2024 issue), and winners and runners-up will be also announced at australianphotography.com, capturemag.com.au and themonoawards.com.au.
